Palermo-Monte Carlo Open Water Regatta
The 13th annual Palermo-Monte Carlo Regatta is on – the open water sailing race that brings together the Gulf of Mondello and the Bay of the Principality of Monaco. The five hundred nautical mile-long race involves 41 sailboats from around the world sailing among the most spectacular landscapes in the Mediterranean. Born of Count Giuseppe’s love for the sport of sailing, the Giuseppe Tasca d’Almerita Trophy will be awarded to the winning sailboat. Count Giuseppe Tasca d’Almerita was a founding member of the Circolo della Vela Sicilia in 1933.
Giuseppe Tasca d’Almerita has awarded the Giuseppe Tasca d’Almerita Cup to ‘Lucky’, the winner in real time of the Palermo Montecarlo 2017 regatta. A race that once again links these two cities, that are bathed by the same sea.
