The Tenuta Grande Vineyard has a soil characterised by a silty texture (26.8% sand and 22.5% clay), able to maintain moisture for a long time, which increases the vigour of the vine. The western exposure ensures cool air and good light during the summer season. The magnesium/potassium ratio is very well balanced, facilitating the metabolism of sugars and proteins, as well as the accumulation of chlorophyll and carotene pigments. The greater vigour of the vine brings the ripening of the grapes towards a fresher quality, with less alcohol and structure, more suitable for fresh vintage wines and rosé wines. The espalier cultivation system is used, with Guyot pruning and a density of 4,166 vines per hectare.
